Revival of the Hearts

Restoring Lives After the Flood

“We have always been united and will continue to be” — with these warm and touching words, the residents of the affected villages greeted us. This sincere support for each other, even in the darkest moments, was a testament to the strength of the human spirit.

On June 27, the team of the Russian Humanitarian Mission, together with the director of the “Revival of the Hearts” Foundation, Ani Michel, went to the Lori region to help people whose lives had been shattered by the flood. We went there with one goal — to support those who faced this disaster and give them hope for recovery.

Qarkop: The First Stop

Our first stop was the village of Qarkop, one of the hardest-hit places. According to local residents, the water level rose to 1.5 meters, leaving devastation and grief in its wake. As we distributed 500 humanitarian kits, we saw a spark of hope in people’s eyes. Their heartfelt words of gratitude and tears of joy confirmed how important our help was.

Support in Akhtala

Our next stop was the clinic in Akhtala, which serves four villages. We brought a generator to ensure uninterrupted service in case of power outages. This is not just equipment — it’s a way for doctors to continue providing essential services and support to those who need it most.

Care and Support

To end the day, we visited a temporary storage facility, where the remaining humanitarian kits were delivered to those who hadn’t been able to receive them earlier. We knew that each box, each kit, was more than just items — they were symbols of care and hope for people going through a tough time.

Despite the sorrowful reason for our visit, we are proud that we could offer help and support to those affected by the flood. We believe that only through collective efforts we can achieve true happiness and improve lives. After all, the greatest good is in what we do for each other.
