“Resolving humanitarian issues in Armenia requires a systematic approach.”
The active phase of the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh has ended, but the issue of internally displaced persons from its territories remains pressing. The flow of refugees has been so large that it is often compared to a biblical exodus in Armenia.
Ani Michel is one of those who, starting from the Second Karabakh War in 2020 up to the present day, has actively helped refugees. In the first days of the conflict, she left a prestigious job in Moscow and went to the conflict zone to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need. Now Ani divides her time between two countries and is doing everything possible to address the humanitarian crisis in Armenia. Her experience includes work with the “Hurry for Good” foundation, coordinating the activities of the Russian Humanitarian Mission in Armenia, collaborating with numerous humanitarian organizations, and creating her own charitable association, “Revival of the Hearts.”
In a comprehensive interview with RGM.Journal, Ani Michel spoke about the current situation of internally displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, shared her experiences from her visits to the conflict zone, and discussed the plans of her new foundation, “Revival of the Hearts.”
