“We have always been close-knit and will remain so,” were the words that greeted us in the villages from people affected by the flood. And indeed, that’s the spirit.
On June 27, the Russian Humanitarian Mission, along with the director of the Revival of Hearts Foundation, Ani Michel, traveled to Lori Province to assist those impacted by the flood.
Our first destination was Qarkop village, the area most severely affected by the flood. Residents shared that the water level had risen to 1.5 meters above the ground here. We distributed 500 humanitarian kits in this area and received heartfelt gratitude from the affected residents.
Next, we visited the Clinic in Akhtala, a medical facility serving four villages. Responding to their need, we brought a generator to ensure they could continue providing uninterrupted care, even during power outages.
Finally, we delivered the remaining humanitarian kits to a temporary storage warehouse, where they would be available for those who hadn’t been able to receive them earlier.
While the reason for our visit to Lori Province was somber, we are immensely grateful for the opportunity to support and uplift those affected by the flood.
Helping others is the path to true happiness, as the greatest blessing lies in what we do for one another. Let us build a better future together and strengthen the hearts of those in need!
